COMMON NAME: Warrigal greens.
BOTANICAL NAME: Tetragonia tetragonioides.
DESCRIPTION: Small evergreen shrub that rambles about. Produces small yellow flowers.
HEIGHT: Grows to approximately 30cm, tends to then fall over itself.
WIDTH: Can sprawl around to about 50cm.
CLIMATE INFO: Grows well in most areas. Found in abundance along the coastal areas. Tolerates medium shade up to full sun.
GARDEN USES: Very unique shaped leaves that arouse interest.
CULINARY USES: Known as native spinach. The leaves of warrigal greens contain high levels of vitamin K, vitamin C, B6, and manganese.
CONTAINER TYPE: 55mm Nursery Tube. (Tube diagonal width is 55mm, Tube height is 85mm).
CURRENT PLANT HEIGHT: Approximately 100mm to 150mm.
(Seasonal pruning and/or packaging may occasionally reduce height)
PROPAGATION TYPE: Cutting and seed grown.
