COMMON NAME: Rhagodia spinescens
BOTANICAL NAME: Spiny saltbush
HABIT: Small to medium shrub with attractive silvery foliage. Produces small cream flowers in summer.
HEIGHT: Can grow up to about 1.5 metres tall.
WIDTH: It will out span its height growing across to about 3 metres in width.
CLIMATE INFO: Grows well in most areas, does best in well drained soils. Grows in full sun to light shade.
GARDEN USES: Great foliage contrast plant. Can be kept clipped as a low hedge.
CULINARY USES: Produces edible ruby red berries and has edible leaves with a bitter/salty flavour.
CONTAINER TYPE: 55mm Nursery Tube. (Tube diagonal width is 55mm, Tube height is 85mm).
CURRENT PLANT HEIGHT: Approximately 100mm to 150mm.
