COMMON NAME: Pomegranate (Wonderful)
BOTANICAL NAME: Punica granatum 'Wonderful'
HABBIT: A small to medium deciduous tree. Produces small, glossy, green leaves. Followed by beautiful red/orange flowers turning to large round red fruit.
HEIGHT: Can get up to about 4 to 5 meters. Best kept pruned to under 3 metres.
WIDTH: Will span about 2 metres.
CLIMATE INFO: Grows well in most areas. Being deciduous it is fine with frosts.
GARDEN USES: When pruned to shape it is a very attractive feature tree with its glossy foliage and showy flowers and fruit.
CULINARY USES: The large fruit produces lots of edible seeds that are covered with a delicious red pulp. This fruit is highly prized.
CONTAINER TYPE: 55mm Nursery Tube. (Tube diagonal width is 55mm, Tube height is 85mm).
CURRENT PLANT HEIGHT: Approximately 100mm to 150mm.
