COMMON NAME: Vietnamese mint
BOTANICAL NAME: Persicaria odorata
DESCRIPTION: A hardy, evergreen groundcover. Has lovely pointed oval, green leaves. The leaves have an attractive dark mark up the centre.
HEIGHT: Can get up to about 300mm tall.
WIDTH: Will usually spread about 600 to 700mm
CLIMATE INFO: Grows vigorously in warm to hot zones. A little frost tender, however with protection it can be successful. Full sun to part shade, actually prefers to be out of the direct midday sun.
GARDEN USES: A nice groundcover for those tricky part shade areas.
CULINARY USES: Has a very unique flavour and is used a lot in Asian cuisine.
CONTAINER TYPE: 55mm Nursery Tube. (Tube diagonal width is 55mm, Tube height is 85mm).
CURRENT PLANT HEIGHT: Approximately 100mm to 150mm.
(Seasonal pruning and/or packaging may occasionally reduce height)
PROPAGATION TYPE: Cutting grown.
