COMMON NAME: Common Garden Mint.
BOTANICAL NAME: Mentha spp.
HABBIT: Low growing groundcover that moves through the soil with its rhizomes. Common mint has one of the more larger leaves of the Mentha family.
HEIGHT: Can reach about 400mm but it normally falls over itself.
WIDTH: Can spread easily to 2 metres from the original planting.
CLIMATE INFO: Is frost sensitive but does well in cool areas. In the warm zones it needs to be grown in shade to part shade for it to be protected from the direct summer sun.
GARDEN USES: Good ground cover for problematic shade areas.
CULINARY USES: Great used fresh in salads and drinks.
CONTAINER TYPE: 55mm Nursery Tube. (Tube diagonal width is 55mm, Tube height is 85mm).
CURRENT PLANT HEIGHT: Approximately 100mm to 150mm.
(Seasonal pruning and/or packaging may occasionally reduce height)
