COMMON NAME: Midyim berry
BOTANICAL NAME: Austromyrtus dulcis
DESCRIPTION: A small bushy shrub that has small green leaves that are a lovely copper colour when new. Produces small white flowers followed by small white, round berries that have a speckled appearance.
HEIGHT: Can get up to 2 metres if left un-pruned.
WIDTH: Spans about 1 metre.
CLIMATE INFO: The plant grows well in cool, warm temperate, subtropical and tropical zones. A very versatile plant that only disagrees with real wet soils.
GARDEN USES: When clipped regularly the plant makes a great low growing hedge.
CULINARY USES: The plant produces one of our great bush tucker berries. Super sweet, soft berries that are produced in large quantities.
CONTAINER TYPE: 55mm Nursery Tube. (Tube diagonal width is 55mm, Tube height is 85mm).
CURRENT PLANT HEIGHT: Approximately 100mm to 150mm.
(Seasonal pruning and/or packaging may occasionally reduce height)
