COMMON NAME: Lemon Grass.
BOTANICAL NAME: Cymbopogon citratus.
HABIT: An elegant, thick stemmed, clumping grass. Eventually weeps over itself.
HEIGHT: In really warm zones it can get up to 2 metres.
WIDTH: Clumps out to about 800mm.
CLIMATE INFO: Grows everywhere, however it does its best in warm to hot areas with good access to regular water.
GARDEN USES: Due to its weeping habit it can be used as a decorative grass in the garden.
CULINARY USES: The crushed stems give off a deliciously fresh zesty lemon flavour.
CONTAINER TYPE: 55mm Nursery Tube. (Tube diagonal width is 55mm, Tube height is 85mm).
CURRENT PLANT HEIGHT: Approximately 100mm to 150mm.
(Seasonal pruning and/or packaging may occasionally reduce height)
PROPAGATION TYPE: Division.
