Rush (Jointed Twig)

COMMON NAME: Jointed Twig Rush

BOTANICAL NAME: Baumea articulata

HABIT: A perennial plant with long, round, slender green stems. It produces small inconspicuous flowers. Grows in water up to 800mm in depth.

HEIGHT: Can get up to about 1.2 metres in ideal situations.

WIDTH: Due to rhizomes, the plant can naturally spread indefinitely through wet areas.

CLIMATE INFO: Very reliable and performs well in most areas.

GARDEN USES: It is dominantly used for erosion control, wetland restoration and habitat creation.
