COMMON NAME: Ginger (Edible)

BOTANICAL NAME: Zingiber Officinale

HABIT: A rhizome plant that produces amazing underground flavour. The leaves in the warm season are wonderfully green and upright in their nature.

HEIGHT: While the flavour joy is underground, the leaves that spear up can reach 700mm.

WIDTH: As the rhizomes spread over time they can move metres.

CLIMATE INFO: Tropical. Loves the heat. You can certainly grow it in simple warm zones however it is very frost tender.

GARDEN USES: Creates great green foliage splashes in dappled light areas where some plant wont grow.

CULINARY USES: The rhizomes are flavoursome, unique, quintessential and super healthy.

CONTAINER TYPE: 55mm Nursery Tube. (Tube diagonal width is 55mm, Tube height is 85mm).

CURRENT PLANT HEIGHT: Approximately 100mm to 150mm.
