Wattle (Fringed)

COMMON NAME: Fringed wattle

BOTANICAL NAME: Acacia fimbriata

HABIT: An evergreen, short trunked tree with a dense foliage cover of soft light green leaves. Produces masses of long cylindrical spikes of fluffy, butter yellow, globular flowers.

HEIGHT: Grows up to a height in between about 4 to 6 meters.

WIDTH: Spans to about 3 metres.

CLIMATE INFO: Grows well in most areas. Does best in full sun where temperatures are moderate all the way through to hot. Naturally occurs up and down the Australian eastern coastline.

GARDEN USES: Great specimen tree when in flower. Also can be used as an attractive screen or wind break.
