COMMON NAME: Brush Cherry
BOTANICAL NAME: Syzygium australe
HABIT: A dense growth habit, lush dark-green foliage and bright new growth that produces beautiful white clustering flowers and edible bright pink fruits.
HEIGHT: Gets up to a little over 4 metres
WIDTH: Can span 2-3 metres.
CLIMATE INFO: Quite a versatile plant. Grows well in most areas. Can be a little frost sensitive while young.
GARDEN USES: Is a classic Australian hedging plant.
CULINARY USES: The bright pink fruits are delicious fresh and are great for making jams and sauces. A very under-utilised bush tucker plant.
CONTAINER TYPE: 55mm Nursery Tube. (Tube diagonal width is 55mm, Tube height is 85mm).
CURRENT PLANT HEIGHT: Approximately 100mm to 150mm.
