COMMON NAME: Broad leaved paperbark
BOTANICAL NAME: Melaleuca quinquenervia
DESCRIPTION: A medium sized spreading tree with distinctive beige coloured papery bark. Produces creamy white bottle-brush flowers.
HEIGHT: Gets up to the range of between 8m to 15 metres depending on environment.
WIDTH: Develops a width spanning anywhere from 5 metres to 10 metres.
CLIMATE INFO: Grows well in coastal areas of Australia. Prefers wet areas and is naturally found along creeks and lakes.
GARDEN USES: Great shade tree. Perfect for an area that may hold a little bit of extra water.
CULINARY USES: While not really edible, the papery bark is used often as a foil substitute to cook foods,
