COMMON NAME: Purple leaf Ajuga.

BOTANICAL NAME: Ajuga reptans purpurea

DESCRIPTION: Low spreading ground-cover with rich burgundy foliage followed by wonderful blue flowers.

HEIGHT: Remains compact under 200mm

WIDTH: Can spread over 1 metre as it re-anchors itself to the soil.

CLIMATE INFO: Frost hardy and does its best in the shady spots.

GARDEN USES: Exceptional ground cover to suppress weeds in shade to part shade areas. Great for rockeries and in between pavers.
